Today, more employees than ever want to work remotely, with one study finding that 97% of employees would like to work remotely, at least some of the time, for the rest of their careers. Many surveys have also found that remote workers are more productive than in-person workers. A remote workforce has numerous benefits for employers, including increased efficiency, a broader talent pool, and considerable cost savings on office space. More importantly, employees report feeling empowered by working remotely as it allows them to better balance professional and personal obligations while saving them time and money on commuting.

Remote Work Account

Jamf worked with Benepass to decide what qualified under their remote work account. This included items like office chairs, desks, laptop stands, monitors, keyboards, coffee makers, and more. 

Popular eligible items include: 

  • Computer monitors and desk mounting accessories
  • Tech accessories such as chargers, keyboards, speakers, or headphones
  • Printers and scanners
  • Furniture such as a desk, chair, or footrest
  • Tea and coffee equipment 
  • Under-desk treadmills
  • Rugs, mug warmers, and mouse pads 

The eligibility rules were then directly coded into the Benepass Platform and Visa Benecard, and transactions were immediately accepted or denied at the time of purchase. Benepass was automatically connected with payroll and all eligible employees were invited to join the platform, leading to a seamless implementation for future and current staff. 

Employees have gotten quite creative with their purchases, and Jamf employees frequently ask for advice on purchases in their messaging platform. 

Allison Mata, Workplace Services Operations Manager, shared one of her exciting buys: “One of my oddest purchases was a little foot hammock that goes underneath my desk because I have short legs, and it helps me.” 

Jamf advertises their Benepass remote work perks during the recruiting process. “People are enticed by it,” shares Allison. As more and more team members are remote and even travel from state to state or country to country, getting up and running with the tools they need helps them stay as efficient and productive from home as possible.

Global parity across benefits has also been critical to the team. Benepass cards transact everywhere Visa is accepted. “The fact that Benepass is partnered with VISA is great,” said Elizabeth Hyde, Workplace Services Hospitality Lead. “It’s something that employees can use no matter where they are.” 

Employees can view their balances and see recent spending in their local currency. Teams in the Czech Republic and Poland particularly struggled with finding eligible vendors, but the Benepass team helped Jamf provide an excellent experience for those employees. “We were able to work with the Benepass customer service team to find vendors that do and don’t work and make sure that all of that information is available to those teams specifically,” shared Elizabeth.
